News from St. Bart’s (1/12)

Dear Brothers & Sisters in our Lord,

We have seen his star in the East and are come with gifts to worship the Lord (St. Matthew 2:2).

What a joy it was to process with a goodly number of our youngest parishioners en route to the Station at the Crib during last weekend’s commemoration of The Epiphany!  Many thanks to Heidi for rounding up and readying them.

And thanks to the Altar Guild, Elizabeth, Dee, and all who worked so hard to make our fair church more beautiful than ever from Advent through Christmastide.

This Sunday, we celebrate the Second Sunday after Epiphany with Holy Eucharist at 10am.  As usual, Sunday School and child care for our youngest youngsters is available shortly before the liturgy begins in the Leen Center.  The Anglican Church Women meet afterward in the first classroom.

Join Father Bart Dellinger for Bible Study beginning with the Book of Judges this Sunday at 9am.

Note the new date for the forthcoming art exhibit/ saleFriday, Jan. 20th, from 3—7pm in the Parish Hall.  The event features works by Dawn Goldsmith and Daniel Cottrell—both residents of Camp Unity.

On Sunday, January 22nd, St. Bartholomew’s Annual Parish Meeting follows an a cappella Mass and potluck lunch in the Parish Hall.  Look for the sign-up sheet downstairs.

Speaking of sign-up sheets, please check available 2017 dates for providing Altar Flowers, sponsoring the Sanctuary Lamp, and hosting Coffee Hour.

I will be out of town for a week from Monday, January 23rd, until the following Monday evening.  Father Bart will be Celebrant and Preacher on Sunday, January 29th.

Stay tuned for details of a new Christian Basics/ Confirmation class that should commence in February.

And finally, congratulations to newlyweds Bob & Judy who pledged their troth to one another during a lovely Solemnization of Holy Matrimony ceremony with family and friends last weekend.

See you Sunday—much love & many blessings,
rtd+
