News from St. Bart’s (10/6)

Dear Brothers & Sisters in our Lord,

All are welcome to make their way to St. Bart’s Saturday (tomorrow) morning at 11am for the annual Blessing of the Animals.  The brief liturgy and informal gathering will celebrate and give thanks for the companionship and service of the animals in our lives whilst allowing pet owners an opportunity to connect with one another.  We’ll convene at the church’s front porch.

As usual, both Sunday School for children and the Parish Eucharist commence at 10am.  Many thanks to our Sunday School teachers!

The Vestry’s October meeting is this Sunday in the Leen Center’s first classroom.  The ACW meets on the 15th.

On the outreach front, many thanks to all of you who bring food items to the Narthex.  They will continue to be collected on the fourth Sunday of each month for distribution to needy families.

Also, we are now scheduled to feed the residents of Camp Unity Eastside on the afternoon of Saturday, November 11th.  Details will be forthcoming.

Finally, keep in mind that next Sunday morning the 15th will be my last public appearance before heading off to vacation.  Our curate, Father Bart will preside in my absence;  I am scheduled to return on November 2nd and will be back at the Altar and pulpit on Sunday the 4th.

See you soon—much love & many blessings,
rtd+
