News from St. Bart’s (5/28)

Dear Brothers & Sisters in our Lord,

Thank you for your prayers and kind words concerning Cynthia’s mother yesterday.  We got word in the seven o’clock hour (PST) today that Fran had crossed the narrow stream of death.  Her husband Bill, eldest son Bernie, and niece Lisa spent last night with her where she was receiving hospice care, and they were present with her when she entered eternity.

Cynthia and I are particularly grateful that she had the opportunity to very recently spend that time in Arkansas with her mother and the rest of the family.  The timing was perfect for all and for multiple reasons.  Thanks be to God whose mercy and grace has been all over the past week and a half.

Please bear with me re. appointments that will have to be postponed or canceled later this week.  I am scheduled to depart for Little Rock Thursday morning and arrive shortly before the Visitation Rosary that evening at St. Andrew’s Cathedral.  The Requiem Mass will be offered on Friday.

We will be back late Saturday, very much looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday morning at 10am (Trinity I/ within the Octave of Corpus Christi).

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Much love & many blessings,
rtd+
