News from St. Bart’s (6/23)

Dear Brothers & Sisters in our Lord,

Thank you for all the positive feedback concerning last weekend’s joyous commemoration of the Feast of Corpus Christi, particularly regarding the sermon for the day and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  Indeed, the conversation has continued throughout the week!  Very much appreciated is the input and preparation by Victor, Melissa, Rick, and Larry, as well as the contributions of James, Tom, and the Altar Guild.

Later this morning (Friday), a brief Holy Eucharist (Nativity of St. John the Baptist) commences at 8am.

This Sunday (Trinity II), our former music director Scott Powell returns as guest organist at the 10am Holy Eucharist.  A cherished friend to a goodly number of our parishioners and key figure in our recent history, Scott will be in town for a rare weekend off from his current position at St. James Proto-Cathedral (Roman Catholic) in Vancouver, WA.

The Feast of St. Peter (BCP Holy Day) will be commemorated with a brief Holy Eucharist on Thursday morning, June 29th.

Our Junior Warden has announced that our Parish Work Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 1st, at 10am.  Please plan on being here because much needs to be done around the buildings and grounds.  Bring weed trimmers and other lawn tools if you have them.

The following day, Sunday, July 2nd, we’ll welcome Bishop Donald Ashman to St. Bart’s for an episcopal visitation and confirmations.  Be praying for him, for the assisting clergy and staff, and the teens who will be in the area the same week for the summer youth camp.

See you Sunday morning—much love & many blessings,
rtd+
